Moritz Schermbach, born in 1990, studied art and photography at the Zurich University of the Arts. He has been working on numerous photo and film sets as a photo and camera assistant, camera operator, gaffer and set designer, as well as designing posters, brochures, artist publications and websites.

His work includes portrait, documentary, fashion and still life photography, art direction and personal projects. Always curious about connecting genres and arranging stories. Whether it’s a composed still life in the studio, highlighting often unnoticed situations in the everyday, setting a scene for a fashion editorial, taking portraits of people or documenting places  – Moritz Schermbach is keen on developing and applying visual content from concept to delivery, keeping an eye on every step along the way.

Image direction and photography for the website of Abteilung Kultur Basel-Stadt. Still life series for the yearbook of stamps «Schweizer Briefmarken 2022» from the Swiss Post.
